Fabled in Photos
August was quite the busy month for Fabled Ice Cream.
We moved into our commissary kitchen, launched our first pint drops, had our first catering event, attended our first farmers market, and signed a lease for a brick-and-mortar location.
It was so busy I don’t even know where to begin, so instead I’m going through my photos and cherry picking the month’s best moments!

Day one in the commissary kitchen. With our first batches of Jane Eyre Grey - our Earl Grey, lavender, and lemon flavor for August.
At our first pint pick up at Old Town Books. I wore my ice cream shirt, of course.
That week I also got to visit what will become our brick-and-mortar location in Hollin Hall, at 7940 Fort Hunt Road! The space is a white box, ready for our commercial kitchen where we will make our ice cream.
I’ve also been crazy busy in the test kitchen, trying to crack the code on ice cream sandwiches. My kitchen helpers peer in on a batch baking.
I think I finally figured them out!
At our first pop-up event, at Hyper Goat Coffee in Alexandria. We served ice cream for affogatos.
I put up some artwork by local kids in the window of the storefront, so cute!
Our first farmers market. We sold out the trike twice and had to run back to the production kitchen to refill!
Back in the test kitchen, this time to make grape sherbet with Everest grapes. It was so tasty.
I attended another week of the MOVExAEDP Food and Beverage program, a local skills-building class for food founders.
That was it for August!
